What is OCD?

I’m not here to explain the medical-scientific characteristics of obsessive-compulsive disorder.

If you’re here, I suspect you not only know it very well (sorry, I feel you), but you’ve also already read the full description that you don’t find here hundreds of times on dozens of different sites.

If you don’t know what OCD is, you can find (as I said) dozens of sites that explain it perfectly and much more briefly than I would, just search the Internet.

In this blog, I simply want to share some of my personal thoughts and reflections during this difficult time, day by day, as they come to me. I want to do this to focus on something other than my fears, to feel less alone, and perhaps to make someone else reading this feel less alone as well.

The fact is, you can easily feel deeply alone because it’s very difficult to be completely understood by people who (lucky them!) do not suffer from this disorder.

OCD is a fucking war inside your head.
